AITA for uninviting my ‘Influencer’ sister from my wedding because she announced her pregnancy at our other sister’s reception?

My (27F) wedding is six months away. My relationship with my older sister, “Chloe” (31F), has always been complicated. She’s a minor local influencer in beauty and lifestyle, which means she is very polished, very curated, and constantly broadcasting. She has a history of needing to be the center of attention.

The conflict started two weeks ago at the wedding reception of our younger sister, “Mia” (24F). Mia’s wedding was small, intimate, and perfect. She was so happy. During the toasts, our father began his speech. He was talking about how proud he was of Mia and her new husband.

Suddenly, Chloe stood up. She interrupted the toast, practically grabbed the microphone, and loudly announced that she is 13 weeks pregnant with her first child. She immediately held up a picture of the ultrasound and posed for photos. The room erupted—but not for Mia. The remainder of the night was spent celebrating Chloe. All conversation, attention, and joy shifted to her pregnancy. Poor Mia was completely overlooked at her own wedding party. I’ve never seen someone look so quietly devastated.

I saw exactly what Chloe did, and I was furious. I will not let that happen at my wedding. Yesterday, I met with Chloe (this confrontation is captured in the feature image below). I told her that after seeing her behavior at Mia’s wedding, I can no longer trust her not to pull an attention-seeking stunt at mine. I told her I am rescindng her invitation and the role she was going to have in the bridal party. I explained that she clearly values the spotlight over respecting boundaries and our sister’s happiness.

Chloe is now hysterical. She claims she was sharing “family joy” and that I am being cruel and petty. She implied our parents are on her side because it’s the first grandchild. She has now started posting cryptic things on her social media about being “excluded” and “family jealousy,” which is generating negative attention towards me.

I feel that setting this boundary is necessary to protect my day and respect Mia’s pain. My fiancée supports me, but my parents are pressuring me to reconsider for “family harmony.”

AITA for preemptively banning my influencer sister after she hijacked our other sister’s wedding spotlight?
